Kulsoom Abdullah is the first female weightlifter from Pakistan when she competed at the 2011 World Championships. At international level, she is the first woman to compete wearing hijab at World Weightlifting Championships.
She is a computer engineer by profession, with a PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
